GENERAL INFORMATION

The 8 ^th International Waste Forum is a continuation of former conferences which were held in 1995, 1997, 1999 in Poznan, 2001 in Pila, 2003 in Gniezno, 2005 in Lichen Stary and 2007 in Kalisz. This Forum is to enable scientists, technologists, designers, business and administration representatives to discuss problems concerning waste management in the 21^th century. Well known Polish and foreign experts will speak about the present knowledge and the state-of-the-art, as well as new challanges related to integrated and sustainable waste management. Existing and potential achievements of the various problems of waste management will be addressed. Moreover, company’s presentations and equipment displays accompanying the Forum will be an important supplement of this meeting.

THE FORUM VENUE

The Forum will be held in the conference rooms of Poznan International Fair – Congress Centre Hall 14, ul. Glogowska 14 60-734 Poznan

The Congress Centre of Poznan International Fair is Poland's largest congress facility. It boasts 76 air conditioned conference rooms of a various standard fully equipped that may be arranged for more than 5 thousand people. Additionally, exhibition pavilions may also be adapted for events; the largest of them can accommodate as many as 10 thousand people.

Besides conference rooms, the Congress Centre offers comprehensive services for congress organization and it has been awarded the Certificate of Professional Organizer of Business Tourism in Poland by the Polish Tourism Organization. The Centre provides catering services and arranges accommodation as well.

The Congress Centre of Poznan International Fair is the best venue for congresses, conventions, conferences, training sessions, company presentation events or press conferences - be it a large event or a small meeting - throughout the year.

LANGUAGES

The conference language is English and Polish; simultaneous translation will be provided.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

The application for presenting a paper should contain: title, author(s), affiliation, abstract (about 400 words), addresses and telephone numbers of authors. Decision of paper’s acceptance will be based on  abstract evaluation by members of the Scientific Committee. Abstracts should be written (in Polish and English) using Microsoft Word and should be sent by email to the address of the Waste Forum. An additional copy on a CD should be sent as well to the address of the Forum Office. Specification with authors name and the editor version should be labeled on each copy. The form of paper presentation will be defined in the detailed Instructions for Authors sent along with the acceptance paper to the author(s).

  PARTICIPATION FEES

It is vital that you send the complete Application From and Conformation of Payment (the cost of participation depends on time of payment) to the Forum Office.

 

The regular conference fee includes the following: attendance to all sessions and accompanying seminars; conference proceedings; informative and advertisement materials; accommodation in one of three available hotels; lunches and buffets during Forum; conference gala diner; get-together picnic party; technical tours and touristic excursion according to the special program.
